About Special Blend
Special Blend consists of an amazing team of snowboarders. The Special Blend name derives from being the pioneers of denim for snowboarders. In order for denim to perform well in the cold, wet snow terrain, it required a ‘Special Blend’ of waterproofing.
With riders like J.P. Walker, Lauri Heiskari, Joni Malmi, Devun Walsh, and Travis Kennedy, Special Blend has plenty of inspiration. Every year these guys come to the design team with ideas for what they want to see on their gear, and the design crew at Blend always listens.
Since its inception in 1992, Special Blend has been stepping up the outerwear game to new levels in quality and innovation. With streetwear-inspired materials such as waterproof corduroy and heavy oxford canvas, new patterns, their legendary camo prints, and a comprehensive fit offering, Special Blend continues to raise the bar in the outerwear game.
